Happy Sunday everyone! The A's finish up this nine-game homestand aiming to win their sixth straight and sweep the rival Mariners. Andrew Triggs takes the mound for Oakland, opposed by Yovani Gallardo. Triggs continues to impress as part of the A's rotation having looked better and better in each start. Gallardo has been...well he's been Yovani Gallardo so far in 2017. He remains prone to the long ball, and hopefully the A's bats can stay hot and tag him for a few this afternoon.
Matt Olson makes his 2017 debut in right field and Rajai Davis is out of the lineup again nursing a slight injury. In case you missed it, the A's made a trade earlier this morning to add additional outfield depth. Elsewhere on the farm, Sonny Gray threw five dominant innings in Stockton last night. Matt Chapman also returned from the DL and went 1 for 3.
First pitch at the Coliseum is at 1:05. Lineups are posted below.
