- 1966 - Sandy Koufax wins his 27th game of the season and the final of his career. Koufax’s victory clinches the pennant for the Dodgers.
- 2012 - The A’s tie Texas for the AL West lead with a 3-1 win over the Rangers for their fifth straight victory. Oakland trailed Texas by 13 games on June 30th, but now have a chance to win the division outright as the two teams face each other one final time tomorrow.
