Game Thread #87: Oakland Athletics at Houston Astros

If this game was an episode of Friends, it would be called "The One Where Coco is Suspended", because that's what has happened. After his ejection last night and the subsequent bat toss, Coco will serve his one-game suspension tonight. Hey, at least the A's won. Let's try to make it two in a row.

Good afternoon and Happy Friday to all as we head into the last weekend of baseball before the break. The A's are in Houston, playing the Astros, and have already taken the first game of the 4-game series and will look to ensure at least a split tonight. Taking the mound will be Daniel Mengden, in his hometown, so expect some cheering for the rookie in green and gold. The Astros starter, right-handed pitcher Collin McHugh, has pitched incredibly well against the A's in his six appearances, so the lineup will look to solve him tonight.
