The Oakland Athletics have signed first round draft pick A.J. Puk (No. 6 overall), a left-handed pitcher out of the University of Florida. The signing was for a reported $4,069,200, the slot value of the pick:

Puk was in Oakland Thursday to sign his agreement and will be making the usual appearances with the media and A’s television and radio broadcasts.

The signing just leaves 2nd round pick Logan Shore, a right-handed pitcher also out of Florida, as the only bonus pool player (rounds 1-10) that has yet to officially sign, though he has indicated he intends to sign with the A’s in a goodbye message to Gator Nation:

The A’s are $158,600 over their bonus pool limits, though they only need to pay a tax and suffer no future draft pick penalties if the overage is at or below $494,175.
