Game Thread #73: Oakland Athletics at Los Angeles Angels

The A's try to take their second in a row and secure no worse than a series split behind, oh, Eric Surkamp tonight. They will be facing Jered Weaver, who did nothing against them last week except a three-hit shutout. Ho hum.

Good afternoon and Happy Friday to all! I'll be your weekend host for some exciting A's baseball both today and tomorrow; I will be live at the game tomorrow and as much as I am excited about the Surkamp start, I admit that it will probably be more fun to see Dillon Overton tomorrow.

Coco Crisp is not starting tonight, but Billy Butler is DH'ing. Marcus Semien will be hitting in the eighth hole (seriously, still!?) and Max Muncy will finish out the lineup. Let's hope this crew hits Weaver better than last week. Weaver has not been good this year; let's hope the A's can remember that. Let's just say...we don't expect a pitchers' duel tonight.
