I thought that inning would never end! I wasn't concerned about Sonny before, but I am now.
The A's trail the Red Sox 7-4 heading into the top of the fifth. Josh Reddick and Josh Phegley put Oakland on the board with infield groundouts in the first and second. Coco Crisp joined the party with a two-out RBI single shortly after; and Khris Davis snuck a homer over the Green Monster. Boston tagged their first run of the game on a wild-pitch in the second; followed by a Travis Shaw double, which cut the A's lead in half.
Jackie Bradley Jr. slapped a single up the middle and two runs managed to score on the play; making this a fourth inning Sonny Gray will wish to forget. Mookie Betts with two outs and two strikes smoked a liner to left field for an RBI and Dustin Pedroia slapped one to center for ANOTHER run.
David Ortiz crushed a single off the Monster and... yeah...
Lets keep the offensive mojo going Oakland!
