Game Thread #14: Oakland A's at New York Yankees

To the Bronx go the A's, looking to beat the ghost of Derek Jeter and the resurgent Yankees.

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

Good afternoon A's fans! After a bit of a tough homestand with a happy solid ending, the A's are back on the road sweet road to take on the New York Yankees. It's a grueling road trip for the A's, one that will certainly have major implications on how their playoff hunt looks in conjunction with what they decide to do with some of their better players come the deadline, so this ones important.

Here are some fun facts about the Yankees:

-I hate them

-They suck

-They really really suck

The A's are throwing Eric Surkamp for a reason I can't really surmise. Opposing him is the ever talented Michael Pineda, coming off a career year. Will he A's bust out offensively in Little League sized Yankee Stadium, or will Pineda keep the A's O feeling the blues?

First pitch is at 4:05PM Pacific. Let's go Oakland!
