Despite the looming statistic of the team who wins the first game of the World Series has won the series twelve of the last thirteen years (as I heard on the radio this morning), the Cubs are not panicking. This is a team who was down 2-1 in the prior series to the Dodgers as everyone took bets on if the Dodgers would win in five or six. This is a team who is starting Jake Arrieta tonight against someone who likely can't keep a finger injury together under the stress of 10 pitches, much less 90, if his last start was any indication. A reminder for those of you not watching the last round: Trevor Bauer sliced his finger open trying to repair a drone just before the ALCS and was unable to get out of the first inning in his subsequent start.
