GameThread #157: A's at Angels

The slog continues.

Go A's!
Go A's!
Ed Szczepanski-USA TODAY Sports

Greetings A's fans!

Here's our chance to play "spoiler" to the Angels. But if it's anything like the rest of September has gone, we'll be playing "enabler" and "doormat" instead.

Did you know that the A's are 5-2 when Felix Doubront starts? Just another weird statistic in a year of weird, strange stats surrounding the A's.

Oakland might as well gun for the #3 pick (looks like 1 and 2 are locked up by teams in the NL that are somehow way worse than the A's). The team is 7-17 in September, and the tank is rolling. Mujica pitched yesterday as well so good to see him back at his commander post. He did an admirable job leading from the sidelines but there were two wins in a row which was tough to see.

That being said I would like to ruin the Angels season, even at the expense of ruining the A's draft pick. Of course, easier said than done with this atrocious September squad. So...I guess this is a win-win situation? Yay.

Let's Go A's!!!!!!!!!
