Klay Thompson throws first pitch at Oakland A's game Saturday

+

A few NBA players have thrown out ceremonial first pitches at MLB games lately. Michael Carter-Williams missed the catcher entirely and hit the cameraman at a Brewers game. James Harden fared better, but he still threw it in the dirt -- I assume he was looking for a whistle on the play, but "fouls" aren't the same thing in baseball. But Klay made a real pitch before the Oakland A's game Saturday. Might have just missed the zone, and his brother Trayce could probably homer off of him, but this was the best ceremonial first pitch I've seen in a long time, if not ever. Not quite the velocity of Colin Kaepernick, but far more control. (That makes Klay the third-most interesting pitcher in Saturday's Zito/Hudson game.)
