Game Thread #152: Oakland A's vs. Texas Rangers

Can we just skip ahead to Saturday, please?

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

Game Two of the Oakland Athletics (64-87) against the Texas Rangers (81-69) comes your way this Wednesday evening with first pitch at 7:05 PM. Felix Doubront takes the mound for Oakland against Colby Lewis for Texas. Lewis is seeking his 17th win this season.

The last time Lewis faced the A's, he threw seven perfect innings before Danny Valencia doubled to left to lead off the eighth and end his bid. The last time Felix Doubront faced the Rangers, he conceded seven runs on three home runs in Texas before getting pulled in the fifth inning.

The Rangers are hoping to extend their lead in the AL West to three games and reduce their magic number to eight. They are putting Drew Stubbs in left field instead of Mike Napoli tonight.
