Oakland A's starting Stephen Vogt at first base for first time since groin injury

The Athletics will put Stephen Vogt into the field for the first time since September 6.

Oakland Athletics catcher-first baseman is slated to take the field for the first time since sustaining a groin injury on September 6. Vogt started as the designated hitter on September 20 and pinch hit for catcher Carson Blair on September 22, though he was replaced by Bryan Anderson behind the plate the next inning.

With Vogt at first base, Mark Canha moves to left field. Marcus Semien also gets the day off, his first in 10 games. Eric Sogard takes over shortstop duties.
