HEY EVERYONE, COLBY LEWIS IS THROWING A PERFECT GAME THROUGH 5 INNINGS. NO HITS, NO WALKS, NO BASERUNNERS, JUST 15 UP AND 15 DOWN. IT'S INCREDIBLE. IF HE KEEPS IT UP FOR 4 MORE INNINGS HE'LL HAVE AN ACTUAL PERFECT GAME, AND THERE HAVE ONLY BEEN 23 OF THOSE EVER IN MLB. THAT'S SUPER RARE!

HE'S BEEN PERFECT. NO BASERUNNERS YET. WE SHOULD ALL BE TALKING ABOUT THIS REMARKABLE ACHIEVEMENT. SOMEONE PLEASE TELL COLBY ALSO, TO MAKE SURE HE KNOWS THE GRAVITY OF WHAT HE'S CURRENTLY IN THE MIDDLE OF DOING.

LET'S TALK ABOUT PERFECT GAMES, SPECIFICALLY THE ONE THAT COLBY LEWIS IS THROWING RIGHT NOW.

UPDATE: THAT'S 6 INNINGS NOW! WOW!! ONLY 3 MORE INNINGS AND COLBY WILL HAVE A PERFECT GAME!!

***

UPDATE: THAT'S 7 INNINGS. HOLY SMOKES. ALMOST A PERFECT GAME FOR COLBY.

UPDATE: Whew, that was getting a bit too close for comfort. Danny Valencia doubled to lead off the 8th, and the perfecto and the no-no were gone. Still, 21 up and 21 down is an impressive feat, even against the A's B-squad, so good job Colby. Still got the shutout in play, but that's nothing new for Oakland.

Our work here is done, folks. Thanks for your help in jinxing this potentially (but not actually) historic achievement.
