Game Thread #129: Oakland Athletics at Arizona Diamondbacks

Sonny Gray will face the Diamondbacks for the first time in his career tonight (and will also get to bat!) as he continues his run for the Cy in what has been probably the only positive story line out of the 2015 season for the Oakland Athletics.

Happy Friday and welcome to a little earlier start tonight as the A's take on the Arizona Diamondbacks in Arizona, where the roof will very likely be closed. If it's this hot in Los Angeles, I imagine it's not that much cooler there. Sonny Gray will face off against Chase Anderson.

The Diamondbacks were still tenuously in the race before their most recent series, but a four-game sweep by the Cardinals has pretty much ended their playoff race.
