We welcome home the A's tonight as they take on the Tampa Bay Rays as we roll into late August baseball. Chris Bassitt will take on Drew Smyly tonight in our West Coast start. Tampa Bay is still a borderline team; they're three games out of the Wild Card.

Good evening, happy Friday and welcome to another gorgeous night of Oakland Athletics baseball! I have just returned from a whirlwind tour from ballparks on the East Coast, visiting PNC in Pittsburgh, Citizens Bank in Philadelphia and Camden Yards in Baltimore, as well as the Hall of Fame. Wrap up and pictures to follow in a subsequent post, but it was absolutely terrific.

Now I'm home, and we join the A's in this opening series, featuring a very different lineup than we started the season with. Chris Bassit will try to get another win for his campaign tonight.
