Game Thread #102: Oakland A's at Los Angeles Dodgers

The Athletics wrap up the brief two-game set with the Los Angeles Dodgers, who appear to be in the middle of negotiating a three-team deal right now with the Atlanta Braves and Miami Marlins that on L.A.'s part involves minor league players, including Cuban infielder Hector Olivera. It doesn't sound like it'll affect the roster tonight, however.

What will affect tonight's roster is Clayton Kershaw getting scratched due to hip soreness. Right-hander Mike Bolsinger will start in Kershaw's place.

Starting for the A's tonight is Jesse Chavez, who hopes to bounce back from failing to record an out in the fourth inning against the Giants on Friday.

Yes, Eric Sogard is hitting sixth, but that's out of eight so.

Oh boy.
