Jesse Chavez left the game after three-plus ugly innings, the offense has been nearly dormant, the bullpen and defense coughed up three more runs in the bottom of the fifth, and Billy Burns had to leave the game due to a testicular contusion. I can't make this kind of stuff up, folks. The A's trail 6-1 after five innings complete. Still enough time for a rally!
