Oakland looks to salvage a win from this trip to Boston that has thus far resulted in back-to-back 4-2 losses.

On the mound for the A's today is the Gravedigger himself Kendall Graveman looking to bury some Red Sox hitters. Since returning from Nashville Kendall has shown the team much improved performance posting a 2-0 record in three starts with a 3.06 ERA. But overall, Kendall's early season struggles still linger in his unfortunate 5.56 ERA for the 2015 season.

Boston starter Clay Buchholz has shown recent improvements, too. On May 4, Clay's ERA was 6.03, but he has posted five consecutive quality starts to lower his season ERA to 3.82, having given up a stingy five total earned runs in those five starts. Also, Clay has recently started eating up innings pitching into the eighth in each of his last four starts.

In terms of today's lineup, Ben Zobrist gets the day off putting Marcus Semien back up at the 2 spot in the order, which is reminiscent of the typical May lineups when Zobrist was on the DL. Beyond that slight shake-up the rest of the order has your typical 3-6 batters in Vogt-Butler-Reddick-Lawrie, with the usual suspects taking their place in the bottom third.
