Hello and welcome to another edition of A's baseball!

Thanks for joining us for all your real-time baseball chatting needs.

Today the A's travel to frequent house of horrors Fenway Park, where Mark Canha is a plus left fielder! Unfortunately he's playing first base today.

Jeremy posted a detailed series preview HERE

Pitching in Fenway is tough for lefties, what with the Green Monster and all. Lucky for us we got two of 'em going today, Scott Kazmir vs. Wade Miley. Wade Miley has, in previous years, alternately confounded us and helped us to many runs. The A's saw so many near homers in Comerica, line drives that hung up long enough for Anthony Gose to run them down, and other such rockets that landed in mitts. Let's hope they keep swinging the lumber like that in Fenway, because many of those will go down as hits or leave the park entirely.

Scott Kazmir is having a nice season. I've noticed the only time he has trouble is when he's getting really squeezed by the umps. Hopefully it's a fair and decent strike zone and Kazmir can go 7 strong.

Here are the lineups:

Today's Lineups

Billy Burns - CF Dustin Pedroia - 2B
Marcus Semien - SS Brock Holt - 3B
Ben Zobrist - LF Hanley Ramirez - DH
Billy Butler - DH Mike Napoli - 1B
Brett Lawrie - 3B Xander Bogaerts - SS
Josh Reddick - RF Mookie Betts - CF
Josh Phegley - C Blake Swihart - C
Mark Canha - 1B Alejandro De Aza - LF
Eric Sogard - 2B Rusney Castillo - RF
Scott Kazmir - LHP Wade Miley - LHP
Marcus Semien is back at short after a 24 hour hypnosis session day off. Is it just me or does that Boston lineup look pretty blase? No David Ortiz. Brock Holt is like probably Brett Lawrie lite. Bogaerts finding his way. Have no idea who Swihart is. De Aza is pretty much not good.
The A's lineup doesn't impress but it doesn't depress. Everyone is pretty good. We're still playing Sogard, I guess over Max Muncy. I'd like to see Muncy in Fenway though but whatever. It's Wade freaking Miley. Go out there and batter this dude.
I think between the 5th and 6th innings they need to have a mascot race, except instead of mascots have Billy Butler race David Ortiz from foul pole to foul pole. Would either of them finish the race? Would it be the most gambled on baseball event of all time?
Anyway...I digress. Where were we?
