Alright, interleague play! I pretty much detest interleague play but I am interested in watching the new-look Padres, and I refuse to watch Giants games, so I guess this a bright side of it. I'm sure the A's Nation will have a small but rowdy set of fans there to attempt to liven up what is sure to be a boring game.

I guess one thing that livens things up is that the Padres fired their manager, Bud Black, so we're about to see Dave Roberts' managerial debut. Should be interesting.

We open with an awesome pitching matchup. Two pitchers facing off against their former teams, Jesse Hahn and Tyson Ross. That's pretty cool.

Seriously? To their fans' credit they immediately protested this. Did they win? Does anyone know? Is this still there?

3. Their uniforms are

Rest in peace. Fondly will remember him as one of the greatest I ever got to watch...and I still get sad when I think of him.
