Oakland A's Pat Venditte goes on disabled list with right shoulder strain, Arnold Leon recalled

Pitching with both hands is kind of the point, so you can't just tell him to pitch left-handed.

No fun allowed.

This is just the pits. Let us have one cool thing. Just one damn cool thing for more than a week. My goodness.

Switch-pitcher Pat Venditte has made four appearances for the Athletics, including a game-saving 2⅓ inning appearance on June 10 in relief of a struggling Jesse Hahn. He has allowed no runs, given up just one hit, struck out four, and walked two.

This is just so annoying. I hate this.

Arnold Leon made one relief appearance for the Nashville Sounds after he was optioned there to add Drew Pomeranz to the bullpen. He pitched 2⅓ innings, allowing one hit, striking out three, and walking one. In the majors, Leon has pitched 5⅓ innings, allowing three earned runs, eight hits (including one home run), and a walk. He has also struck out seven.

Augh.
