Stephen Vogt's Matt Foley impression is spot on

The Athletics catcher is a motivational speaker who lives in a van down by the river.

Stephen Vogt's referee routine received one of the greatest honors baseball can offer short of the Hall of Fame, a bobblehead (with sound!) for Thursday night's game. What you may not know is that Vogt's talents go beyond calling reach-in fouls, double dribble, and three seconds.

Today on Intentional Talk, Stephen Vogt made his case to go to the All-Star Game by bringing in motivational speaker Matt Foley:

At the start of spring training, Vogt gave the A's in camp a rundown of Major League Baseball's new pace-of-play rules as the Saturday Night Live character originally performed by Chris Farley. There was no video of the team meeting, so here's an artist's depiction of how it probably went:

I have a feeling this won't be the last impression we see from Stephen Vogt.
