Game Thread #48: Oakland Athletics vs. Detroit Tigers

The A's are riding a 3-game win streak, but they'll have their work cut out for them in tonight's game. Not only does Miguel Cabrera return to the lineup, but the A's offense is facing David Price. Jesse Chavez will have his work cut out in this one, but hey...it's Ben Zobrist! And Sean Doolittle! Welcome back!

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Good evening and welcome to 2015 Oakland Athletics baseball, which suddenly has become a shade more fun as the A's look to make it four in a row with a victory tonight. Granted, this will not be an easy task, as Miguel Cabrera, A's killer, is back in the lineup tonight behind David Price. Jesse Chavez has struggled against the Tigers in his career, and he'll need to be spot on tonight to keep the A's in the game. Ben Zobrist will be starting at second base and batting third tonight. Both catchers are in the lineup and Brett Lawrie is back at third. And of course, our bullpen added Sean Doolittle; too little too late, or can the A's salvage the season?

Can the A's keep this win streak going? Let's find out.
