Game Thread #44: Oakland Athletics at Tampa Bay Rays

The A's can't lose every game, right? There's bound to be a win mixed in somewhere, and tonight could be the night. Stay turned to find out how exactly the A's are going to win today. All the excitement, drama, intrigue, coming to you right now from Tampa Bay, FL as the A's take on the Rays.

Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

Good afternoon and Happy Friday of a three-day weekend! I'm going to pretend that yesterday's game didn't happen, so we're starting fresh today. Of course, the A's have already made me mad with the lineup announcement. Andy Parrino is here, I say, that means he'll probably play second base to take Sogard out of the lineup, while keeping Semien's bat in! Wrong, the A's say. Not only is Parrino replacing Semien's bat, but Sogard is now hitting second. Because...what!?

I mean, seriously, look at the lineup! I can feel Scott Kazmir glaring at his agent right now. Kazmir is the next A's starter in line to be tasked with trying to win a ball game, something new and different for the A's this season. I mean, seriously, the lineup? Chris Archer will take the mound for the Rays.

Here are the lineups. Hopefully ours will prove me wrong and score 10 runs.

Today's Lineups
