Game #43: A's Lose, Something New and Different

Recap? Recap what? The A's are fundamentally unsound, Jesse Chavez pitched certainly well enough to win, but he'll have another loss hung on him thanks to his awful team, and not only are they bad, but they're boring as well, unless you count the new and creative ways they find not to score.

For those of you who are tired of the same recap every night, allow me to change it up. Here's what happened today: Billy Burns tripled to start the game and did not score/was not sent home on a medium-deep fly ball. Billy Burns, not Butler, just to clarify. Ron Washington for third base coach? Ron Washington for manager? Ron Washington for bullpen coach? I just don't know. All I know is that the A's didn't score in this game en route to another loss.

My original recap was a list of all the things you would rather do than watch the A's right now, but it grew to 16 pages and was depressing. I realize this one is not much better.

Apparently, Coco Crisp received some disheartening news, as told to his SnapChat account, so there's that too.

I got nothing for you except I'll be back here with all your action tomorrow afternoon. Full recap to come later. Maybe.
