The Athletics announced their opening day roster following Saturday's spring training finale against the San Francisco Giants. They will carry five starting pitchers, seven relievers, two catchers, and 11 other position players. Eight members of the 40-man roster will begin the 2015 regular season on the disabled list.

Barry Zito accepted assignment to the Nashville Sounds, according to the San Francisco Chronicle's Susan Slusser. Josh Reddick is expected to be activated from the 15-day disabled list on Saturday, April 11, when the A's face the Seattle Mariners.
