Coco Crisp could return to Oakland A's very soon, he tweets/instagrams

The Athletics outfielder took to social media to announce he will be starting a minor league rehabilitation assignment shortly.

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Oakland Athletics left fielder Coco Crisp announced on his social media accounts that he will begin a rehabilitation assignment with the Stockton Ports during their next homestand, which goes from May 1 and ends May 7.

It has been rumored that once Crisp began a rehab assignment, he would probably not take the full 20 days allowed for position player rehab assignments.

Just an educated guess, but the A's will probably part ways with outfielder Cody Ross if no other roster maneuvers intervene ahead of Crisp's return. Ross can be released without monetary cost to the team, according to the San Francisco Chronicle's Susan Slusser.
