Game Thread #18: Oakland Athletics vs. Houston Astros

The A's, bound and determined to toy around with that .500 mark, start a new series at home against the Houston Astros tonight as they try to even their record and win a series. Tonight will be battle between the lefties, so the A's have deployed their lefty-lineup.

Peter G. Aiken-USA TODAY Sports

Happy Friday to all and welcome to another exciting game of A's baseball, where you never know what you're going to get. Giving up one run and losing? Scoring 15 runs? Losing by 14 and throwing a position player as the pitcher of record in the eighth? Getting into a battle with a rival team? This all has happened to the A's so far this young season. What will tonight bring?

The A's have already moved Craig Gentry down to the eighth spot in the lefty lineup; marcus Semien will be leading off. Ben Zobrist is a welcome sight back in the lineup as the DH tonight as the A's and Scott Kazmir will take on the Astros and Dallas Keuchel.
