Game #17: A's at Angels

I shouldn't have eaten that third hot dog.

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

The A's look to wrap their first road trip on a winning note before heading back to the friendly confines of the Oakland Coliseum. As WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE as things have been recently, the A's have a chance to finish the trip with at 6-4 against 3 good teams, and climb above the .500 mark before heading home to face the Astros.

Jesse Chavez gets the call for the A's with Jesse Hahn out with a blister. A good day for Chavez could mean a long flight to Nashville for Kendall Graveman. Nick Tropeano makes his first start for the Angels after being sent over from Houston in the Hank Conger deal. A quick two minutes on Fangraphs tells me that Tropeano wasn't a highly touted prospect, but has made his way to the bigs on the strength of solid control and a deadly change. Did I mention he plays for the Angels? I hate him already.
