Spring training is a time to have fun. There's work to be done, but everything is a bit more laid-back and random faces show up now and then. On Saturday, the Oakland A's got a visit from Jim Harbaugh, former head coach of Stanford football and the 49ers and current skipper of the Michigan Wolverines. As Jane Lee notes on MLB.com, Harbaugh and A's manager Bob Melvin were once teammates on an American Legion team in the Bay Area; read her post for more on the relationship between the two coaches.
Harbaugh looked pretty good in an A's uniform, and it's worth noting that he rocked the high socks and stirrups. Respect.
Pics or it didn't happen!
Jim Harbaugh specifically requested the high socks. And his old No. 4. pic.twitter.com/1fkpTa41EU

You bet Harbaugh will be an aggressive first-base coach. His style: "Let's go for two!" pic.twitter.com/yiC8m0xP0w

Baseball is superstitious.
A's get the walk-off win. Jim Harbaugh is never leaving.

Whatever Michigan is paying you, Jim, we'll give you double (in store credit). Whaddya say to that?
