Spring training is a time to have fun. There's work to be done, but everything is a bit more laid-back and random faces show up now and then. On Saturday, the Oakland A's got a visit from Jim Harbaugh, former head coach of Stanford football and the 49ers and current skipper of the Michigan Wolverines. As Jane Lee notes on MLB.com, Harbaugh and A's manager Bob Melvin were once teammates on an American Legion team in the Bay Area; read her post for more on the relationship between the two coaches.
Harbaugh looked pretty good in an A's uniform, and it's worth noting that he rocked the high socks and stirrups. Respect.
Pics or it didn't happen!

You bet Harbaugh will be an aggressive first-base coach. His style: "Let's go for two!" pic.twitter.com/yiC8m0xP0w— Jane Lee (@JaneMLB) March 7, 2015

He certainly looked the part. Coaches gonna coach.
Harbaugh waving Billy Burns towards 2nd on a ball down the line: completely unnecessary, but totally awesome. #Athletics— Donny Baarns (@DonnyBaarns) March 7, 2015

And of course, he made time for some fans as well.

Baseball is superstitious.
A's get the walk-off win. Jim Harbaugh is never leaving.— Jane Lee (@JaneMLB) March 7, 2015
Whatever Michigan is paying you, Jim, we'll give you double (in store credit). Whaddya say to that?
A job well done! -- Photo credit: Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports
