Radio and television broadcast info: Oakland A's spring training games March 3-8

Today, March 3, at noon Pacific Time, Oakland Athletics spring training games get underway, which means everyone is asking, "How do I listen to this game, preferably by not paying any additional money?" Without this guide, you might give up frustrated.

For televised games, it is simple enough. Subscribe to MLB.TV for $20 or $25 a month and you can watch 16 live spring training games on your computer, none will be blacked out. If you do not want to do that, there are 10 live games being played on one of the Comcast Sportsnet regional channels or on MLB Network, and six games on an MLB Network tape delay.

For radio coverage, most weekday games will be covered on MLB.com for free on non-mobile devices with Donny Baarns, the voice of the Visalia Rawhide, on the microphone. To access those games, visit athletics.com and click the headphones or "Listen" button on today's game. If for some reason you get kicked to a screen insisting you buy a subscription, try opening Gameday instead and listening through the "Audio" menu on that screen.

On a mobile device, you will have to buy an MLB At Bat subscription. A's season ticket holders do receive At Bat for free, but those links have not been sent out yet. I contacted the season ticket holder hotline on Tuesday morning, and they informed me that MLB.com will be sending out the links to access those subscriptions any day now.

Weekend games on 95.7 or games otherwise covered by a terrestrial radio service will not be free, but require an MLB At Bat/Gameday Audio subscription.

This week's game schedule, with MLB Network games available on a delay, but live on MLB.TV:
