I'm scared to say anything about a second win in a row. The A's haven't managed that simple feat since three weekends ago against the Angels; the last really good moment of the season.

Good evening and welcome to Oakland Athletics baseball! It's no secret that the A's have been piloting the struggle bus right out of the Division lead, heading sharply down into a tight Wild Card race in which they haven't really been participating. Last night was the first sign of an offensive breakout, as Josh Donaldson had a night, recording five hits. The A's collected 18 overall.

Jeff Samardzija, who has been good for the A's, even in this slide, will take the mound facing off against Chris Bassitt. The A's, minus their concussion ones, will try to win a second game in a row. Crisp and Fuld lead it off, Donaldson, Dunn and Reddick anchor the middle, and Sogard is the second baseman.
