Game Thread #137: A's vs. Mariners (3)

New, comments

Thing have calmed down, which is perfectly fine when you have a five-run lead. Jason Hammel is dealing, with a two-hitter going through five frames; he's only thrown 64 pitches so far. Geo Soto just threw out a speedy runner (Endy Chavez) trying to steal second, and it wasn't close. If nothing else happened for the rest of the afternoon, I'd be perfectly happy because the A's would have cruised to a win.
