Game Thread #134: Oakland Athletics at Los Angeles Angels

After what would have been a heartbreaking loss last night had it not been so completely expected with the way the offense is failing night after night, the A's will try to regroup tonight or risk falling further behind in the Division. Tonight features their best chance on the mound, so here's to Jon Lester pitching to fewer than 3 runs, and here's to the A's offense trying to scratch out 3 again.

Good evening! Happy Friday of a holiday weekend! Let's pretend this is a three-game series against the Angels and we're two games behind in the Division, just like in 2012. It's a lot more fun this way than what really happened, including last night. Who's with me?!

After Sonny Gray turned a rough start into a quality outing in his seven innings last night, Jon Lester will try to throw a gem tonight, and make no mistake; the A's will need it. They will be facing off against Jered Weaver.

I love Crisp/Fuld in the one, two; Donaldson is coming off one of his better nights all season, and Vogt is in the lineup. Callaspo is at second, but here's to some late-inning defensive replacement!

Here are your lineups:
