Game Thread #132: Oakland Athletics at Houston Astros

The A's take on the Astros in the finale of the series. The A's should be going for a sweep, but thanks to last night's implosion, they are just looking to win the series. We have a familiar, but new face, in the pitching rotation as Drew Pomeranz will be starting, and the current thinking is that the A's are starting all four aces over the weekend series in Anaheim.

Good afternoon and welcome to another exciting edition of A's baseball! Tonight's starters will be both familiar to you; if not unexpected, the A's are starting Drew Pomeranz against Brad Peacock. Try not to hit anything.

The A's are using their "good" lineup tonight, so let's see if they can't score a few runs to help out their sixth starter. All four aces will be starting in Anaheim this week, and the A's are likely giving Pomeranz a shot to see how he pitches, even after Hammel's very good start last night.
