The rally thread worked! The A's scored eight runs in the 5th to take a sizable lead, and Lester continued to roll until the Royals put together a rally in the 7th. I have it on good confidence that Jim Johnson will not be appearing in mop-up duty in this game. 8-3 A's entering the bottom of the 7th.
