Game Thread #102: Oakland Athletics at Texas Rangers

New, comments

After another successful homestand, which closed with the A's winning the last two games to take the series from Houston, the A's look to beat another Texas team tonight; this time in the heat of Arlington. Jason Hammel will face off against Jerome Williams.

Happy Friday, happy weekend, and welcome to the heat of Texas! The A's will be facing the Rangers tonight as they try to win another series to maintain their lead on the Angels. Jason Hammel, who has not had tremendous success starting for the A's in his first two starts, will try to turn it around against the Texas lineup. Similarly, tonight's starting pitcher for the Rangers, Jerome Williams, has had very little success against the A's starting lineup:

Let's hope for another win, and a great start for Hammel.
