Game Thread #78: A's at Mets

New, comments
Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

After a rare blowout loss at the hands of Bartolo Colon and the Mets last night, the A's will get a second chance to earn a win in Flushing, albeit with the one-dollar man himself, Brad Mills, getting the start tonight after All-Star candidate Scott Kazmir got rocked in the series' first game.

The lefty lineup is in full effect tonight, with Josh Reddick, John Jaso, and Brandon Moss all in the lineup to try to get the best of New York's Zach Wheeler, who is 3-7 on the year despite a respectable 3.93 ERA. While losing a two-game set is hardly a death knell, it's best avoided against subpar NL East teams, and the A's would do well to enter their second off day of the week on a winning note before flying to Miami.

First pitch is at 4:10pm Pacific!
