Game Thread #77: Oakland Athletics at New York Mets

New, comments

Oh boy, baseball, oh boy, baseball! The A's will face off against their old teammate, as Bartolo Colon will take the mound (and bat!) against the A's tonight in a New York special, but this time, it's the Mets instead of the Yankees. The A's will try to continue their winning ways after taking three out of four from Boston, and still being disappointed with that outcome!

And we've surpassed $7,000 for the Alameda County Community Food Bank; you can still donate here.

Good afternoon and welcome to another amazing day of A's baseball! As you can see, the A's have Josh Reddick back on the field, so there's that!

The A's batters will see a familiar face, Bartolo Colon, across the mound from them today, and we get the pleasure of seeing him at the plate. Scott Kamir will be pitching for the A's, and he'll also be batting, although I kind of hope he doesn't swing. Kazmir and Colon have both pitched very well this season. It will be fun to see some different National League parks and to introduce the Mets to hopefully what will continue to be the swinging--and winning--A's.

Let's see what we can do against the National League!
