Game Thread #46: Oakland Athletics at Tampa Bay Rays

The A's look to continue their: Oakland A's: A Fire Brand of Baseball streak tonight as they have now won 10 out of 11 games (don't we all wish that one had come through!), sitting pretty after 45 games with a run differential of +98. Absolutely everything the A's have touched lately has turned to gold (and green), and they look to continue that ride behind the arm of the much-maligned Tommy Milone, who has been aces for the A's lately.

Good afternoon and welcome to Hump Day baseball, on the week of a lazy early summer long weekend where possibilities of magic seem endless. Maybe this will be the summer; the team; the year that will never be forgotten.

The A's are playing light tonight with their "B" lineup, but they've started a lot of games with "B" pitchers lately and won them all, so what do I know. I know that Tommy Milone started the last game the A's lost, through no fault of his own. In his last two starts, he went 8 and 6 innings respectively, only allowing one run over both. He will be pitching on the road tonight, and will try to win the A's fifth game in a row.

The A's will be facing off against Erik Bedard (LHP), so the lineup will reflect that.

Here are your lineups. Neither stiff neck is in the lineup; both Crisp and Lowrie will sit this one out, but on the bright side, we will get to see Kyle Blanks make a start at first base, and get multiple at-bats during this one. Here we go:

Today's Lineups

Craig Gentry - CF Wil Myers - RF
Kyle Blanks - 1B Evan Longoria - 3B
Josh Donaldson - 3B James Loney - 1B
