Game Thread #43: Oakland Athletics at Cleveland Indians

The A's remain hot, hot, hot and sporting the best run differential in the history of ever (probably), they take on the Indians again tonight on the road, as they try to replicate last night's 11-1 drubbing of the Indians. It's Scott Kazmir's turn on the mound and he'll be facing off against his former team.

Thearon W. Henderson

It's hard to be too much hotter than the Oakland A's of mid-May, rolling over everyone they are playing in impressive fashion. They have won 7 of their last 8 games, thanks to the offense hitting the cover off the ball, their pitching tossing up quality starts night after night--even starters who were not supposed to be starting--and the resurgence of Josh "Careless Whisper" Reddick. It's always something new and fun with this team, isn't it? And it usually involves singing and dancing. I think "Oakland Athletics: The Musical" would really kill on stage, would it not?

Tonight's game will pit Scott Kazmir in front of his old home crowd, pitching very well for them in a successful 2013 season that saw the Indians reach the playoffs. Tonight, he'll continue his quest to have an even more impressive 2014 for the green and gold. He'll be up against Josh Tomlin for the Indians.

Here are your lineups (Heeeeey, Coco!):
