Game Thread #3 (Doubleheader): Oakland Athletics vs. Cleveland Indians

We're back at it! Game #2 starts right now, as the A's try to take the series from the Indians, and erase the memories of Opening Night!

Thearon W. Henderson

Hello everyone, and welcome to another A's baseball game. Just another Wednesday of 6 hours of A's baseball; did you miss it?!

Tonight's game will feature a whole different cast of characters, including a starting pitcher that we have not seen; debuting from Triple-A, Josh Lindblom! Apparently, we can have nice things. From MLB.com:

Clubs participating in split doubleheaders are allowed to employ a 26th man on their active roster for the second game, so the A's didn't have to take another player off their current roster to make room for Lindblom.

This way, the A's can keep their starting rotation in order, while just using one of those starters today. For Lindblom, this has to be an unexpected, and fun, chance to shine. He will be facing off against the Indians'  Zach McAllister.

Let's see if A's lineup number 2 can do as well as the first squad did; it would be nice to give Lindblom some early runs. No pressure.

Here's our game lineups:

2. Nick Swisher (S) 1B
3. Jason Kipnis (L) DH
