Game Thread #10: Oakland Athletics at Seattle Mariners

Welcome back to actual, real, night baseball! Where we come home from work and watch a game! I thought this day would never come, but rest assured that the ballpark in Seattle will be nice and dry, no matter what happens. Too soon?

Kim Klement-US PRESSWIRE

Good evening, and welcome to another exciting edition of 2014 Oakland A's baseball! I, baseballgirl, will be your host tonight--and most every Friday night--as we sit down to watch the A's rebound from a very weird start to the season, and potentially run their record to 7-3. Standing in their way; however, is their long-time nemesis, Felix Hernandez. Rumor has it that we actually have beaten him (of course never on Opening Nights), but it sure doesn't feel like it, does it?

Making his first start of the season for the A's is Tommy Milone, who was skipped due to the disaster of last week. He'll have an ambitious task in front of him as he's charged with the task of beating Felix Hernandez, and extending the A's starting pitcher quality start streak. It currently stands at 9, which is, well, every game the A's have played so far this season.

Here are your lineups for tonight's contest; the A's are still missing Coco Crisp, so magical Sam Fuld will get the call to lead off, and the are likely intentionally missing Josh Reddick; Felix Hernandez is not a pitcher to face to break out of a slump. Callaspo and Norris are both in the game, and Barton is going to take his swings as well.
