Game Thread: A's vs. Brett Anderson & The Rockies

Christian Petersen

Brett Anderson makes his first ever start against the Oakland A's today. Billy Burns could probably sustain a lifetime batting average of 1.000 (all bunts) against the former A's lefty, who has yet to get injured for the Rockies. Burns is not, however, in today's starting lineup. A.J. Griffin, who would not enjoy pitching at Coors Field, gets the start for Oakland.

The lineups are interesting on both sides, featuring a blend of likely Opening Day starters and likely reserves/odd-men-out. They are thusly and as follows, with the most notable comparison being that the A's clearly have the better SS. And that 22% of the A's lineup has diabetes.
