The Cleveland Indians are on the verge of completing a deal involving Oakland Athletics first baseman-outfielder Brandon Moss, sources tell ESPN's Buster Olney, reporting from the 2014 Major League Baseball Winter Meetings in San Diego.

- the Indians be one of a group of teams interested in Moss to
- the Indians "guardedly optimistic" they will complete a trade to
- specific players from the Indians being named as targets to
- ending negotiations Friday, only to revive them today.
