Seasons Greetings Athletics Nation!!

There's an old superstition that if you buy a home in the city that you play professional sports in, expect to be traded. I don't know how often it occurs but one thing is certain: Don't buy a house in the Bay Area if you play for the Oakland Athletics! Or maybe a better one would be don't buy a house in the Bay Area if you become an All Star and play for the Oakland Athletics.

Derek Norris is gone now too?

Five All-Stars out of the seven representing the A's in the All-Star game last season will now be wearing different uniforms in 2015. I can't remember the last time that many All Stars were traded away in one winter collectively, let alone from one team.

Alex joined me on segment two of my show today (11 minute mark) and we talked about the wheeler dealer Billy Beane trading away another All Star, what the A's actually got in return and that took up the entire segment. It's always fun to have Alex on the show!

Other topics on the show today: Portland Trail Blazers San Antonio Spurs preview, Oklahoma City Thunder loses to Golden State and loses Kevin Durant, the Winnipeg Jets defensive woes, the New York Rangers four game winning streak and our weekly FanDuel Fantasy Football picks (week 16). I'll leave the player below or you can visit my site to download the show to your portable device.

Finally, I would like to wish each of you and your families an incredibly happy Holiday Season and a prosperous and healthy 2015!

Thanks for listening and see you in 2015!!
