Naturally, the A's lost last night to Brad Peacock and the Astros after playing great baseball for two weeks and going 9-4 against the cream of the American League crop. Exactly the way they planned it, right? To be fair, I thought Peacock's curve was excellent, and he had much better fastball command than when the A's had seen him previously. Nevertheless, that was untimely, as the A's could have taken a half-game lead on the Rangers and Matt Garza, who today face C.J. Wilson and the Angels.

A.J. Griffin will attempt to shut down the mighty Astros, and keep them from winning 5 of 6 against the A's. He will be opposed by Dallas Keuchel, a lefty. With that, it means we will see the the right-handed swinging lineup and none other than Nate Freiman. Word has it, he is something like 6'8". We will have to wait for Fosse and Kuiper to confirm, but I believe that this is true.
