Game Thread #161: A's at Seattle

Welcome to the penultimate regular season game of 2013. It's Jarrod Parker's final tuneup for an ALDS the A's now know for sure they will host. The current buzz is that Bartolo Colon will likely get the nod for Game 1 on Friday, Parker Game 2 one week from today, but nothing figures to be announced until Tuesday.

Parker is opposed by Brandon Maurer, who will face a lineup sans-Cespedes. Cespedes felt a tweak in his shoulder while swinging yesterday and his status is a bit up in the air these days. Oakland's focus is on getting Cespedes ready to play LF, or at least DH, on Friday, giving them 6 "day-to-days" to play with.
