If you're gonna play in Texas, you got to have a fiddle and a band. You don't, however, need your starting pitcher or your cleanup hitter. At least the A's hope not.

Apparently my analysis of Jarrod Parker makes him sick, because Parker has been scratched from today's start with "illness" and replaced by LHP Tommy Milone. You could do worse for an emergency #7 SP than a guy who has won 23 games the past two seasons. Milone faces off against fellow LHP Martin Perez. Also scratched, Slusser notes: Yoenis Cespedes, apparently nursing a sore shoulder from a dive in LF on the last homestand.

Depth, FTW! The A's will try to keep rolling as they endeavor to win their 5th in a row and to open up a 6.5 game lead in the division if they can get the sweep. The revised lineups have Josh Donaldson batting cleanup and "6' 8" Nate" at DH:
