Good morning and welcome to Sunday morning baseball! Once again, I wish the A's were playing like a team who doesn't strand runners at third base or make multiple errors, but I don't really know what to tell you. With yesterday's loss and Texas' win, the A's have dropped to second place for the first time in a long time, and will not be going to the playoffs unless they attempt better team play than the Astros or the Angels, two teams the A's are really starting to resemble. But the good news is that it's not too late to turn it all around, and the A's can do just that, starting with today's game. In what will be a battle of abbreviations, A.J. Griffin will take on R.A. Dickey, and really, really, the A's need to just win.
LET'S GO OAK-LAND!
